Christine E. Clevenger, 54, of Liberty, died at 3:42 a.m. Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri

Born January 11, 1963, in Macomb, Christine was a daughter of John and Joan Maranville Hogan. She married Cameron Clevenger on July 21, 1990, in Golden. He survives.

Christine was a 1981 graduate of Brown County High School. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education from Western Illinois University. She taught vocal and instrumental music at Calhoun County, Liberty, and Camp Point Central.

She loved performing and teaching music, and sharing her passion of music. Many of her students have said that she went beyond the book to encourage, motivate, and inspire them in their daily lives.

She was an avid sports fan who loved the Dallas Cowboys.

Surviving in addition to her husband Cameron, are three children, Cailin, Ciera, and Connor Clevenger, Liberty; her parents, John and Joan Hogan, Mt. Sterling; her sister, Becky Render (Mark), Mt. Sterling; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy by Rev. Martin Eden. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Camp Point.

Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy.

Memorial contributions may be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or the Panther Pride Foundation.
