Clarence L. Jarboe Sr., 49, of Bowen, IL passed away at 6:22 pm Friday December 8, 2017 at Blessing Hospital Quincy, IL.

He was born on March 6, 1968 to the late Wayne and Marjorie Yocum Hillyer in Macomb, IL. He was adopted by Walter “Red” and Shelia Jarboe. He was married to Rhonda L. Smith on March 10, 1990 in Webster, IL. She survives in Bowen.

Clarence was a 1986 graduate of Nauvoo-Colusa High School where he played baseball for the Vikings. After he graduated he entered the United States Navy.

He is survived along with his wife Rhonda by two children, Samantha (Kristopher) Heitmeier and C.J. (Alania) Jarboe Jr. all of Bowen, IL, seven grandchildren, Summer, Tabatha, Paige, Piper, Preston, Hayden and Amberlyn all of Bowen, IL, his adopted mother,  Shelia, his mother-in-law, Joy Sandy, two brothers in law, Leroy (Lisa) Smith of Colchester, Il., and Billy (Christina) Smith of Carthage, Il.; a sister in law, Verna (Andy) Watkins of Bowen, Il.; one sister, Hazel Walton of Plymouth, Il.; two brothers, Albert Alton and Jerry (Cassie) Brennstall of Plymouth, Il.; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

  

He was preceded in death by his mother and father; his adopted dad; a sister, Wanda Hillyer; two brothers, Benjamin Hillyer and Dwayne Alton; his father in law, Ronald Smith; and his grandparents, Phoebe and Freddy Fowler and Eugene and Virginia Berry.

He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved playing video games and listening to music.

Clarence was cremated. A memorial services will be held Saturday (December 16, 2017) at 2:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta by Rev. Robert Tillman. Visitation will be held Saturday (December 16, 2017) from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Blackburn Cemetery near Brooklyn, Il. Memorial may be made to the family.

The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta is handling the arrangements.
