David L. Hogan, 78, of Kellerville, died  at 6:35 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2017 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy.
Born August 1, 1938, in Quincy,  David was a son of Lewis Hogan and Mabel Tournear Hogan Boling. He married JoAnn Harness December 2, 1960, in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Hogan was employed as a truck driver and carpenter, and in later years sold pork rinds and snow cones a local festivals.  He enjoyed boating, fishing, and loved camping and cooking. David never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time at the coffee shop visiting with his friends. Mr. Hogan served his country in the U.S. Army.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Dusty Hogan (Cindy), Kellerville; two daughters, Brenda Riddle (Doug), Hannibal, MO., and Maurena Borenson (Clyde), Clayton; nine grandchildren, Rachel Kuhlmeier, Quincy, Michelle Voth (Lance), Ursa, Jason Hogan, Chad Hogan (Nikki), and Kyle Hogan (Heather), all of Rushville, Matthew Gauch , Hannibal, MO., Roy Livengood III, Quincy, Shane Livengood (Crystal), Quincy, and Adam Vahle, Quincy; 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Candice Sue Wright (Ronald), Kellerville, and Peggy Neisen (Jim), Fowler; and a sister in law, Connie Boling, Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Kimberley Ann Hogan in infancy and Sheryl Henderson; his identical twin brother, Delbert Hogan; a sister, Lois June Hessling; a brother, Rocky Boling; and his beloved cat, Hootie.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.  at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton. Burial with military honors will follow at Howe Cemetery, Clayton.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Clayton.
