     Gladys Marie Deming Daggett Norris, 88, of Columbus, went to eternal life at 12:53 p.m. Thursday, May 25, 2017 at her home.
     Born February 25, 1929, in Adams County, Gladys was a daughter of Otis and Alta Mowens Deming. She married Lyle Daggett in December of 1946. He preceded her in death in January of 1969. She later married Vernon Norris on June 24, 1977. He preceded her in death on June 26, 2004.
     Gladys was a member of the Columbus United Methodist Church. She was a devoted homemaker. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She also enjoyed spending time outside tending her flowers.
     Survivors include two sons, Larry Daggett and Terry Daggett (Norla), both of Columbus; a brother, Lonnie Deming, Camp Point; two step sons, Gary and Steve Norris; four grandchildren, Mark Daggett (Diane), Quincy; Laurie Jansen (Todd), Warrenton, MO.; Brad Daggett (Lisa), Spring, TX.; and Marcey Wells, Quincy; seven great grandchildren, Jordan, Jennifer, and Jessica Jansen; Alexander, Benjamin and Madeline Daggett; and Wil Wells; two sisters in law, Helen Daggett and Colene Daggett; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Bear.
     She was preceded in death by both husbands; her parents; a daughter in law, Nancy Daggett; a great grandson; a sister in law, Patricia Deming; five sisters; and two brothers.
     Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 30 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Cecilia Granadosin. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point.
     Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Columbus United Methodist Church or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
