James Lee “Jim” Boehler, 56, of Clayton passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at his residence. He was born July 7, 1961in Carlinville the son of John Nicholas and Brenda Lee Patterson Boehler. He married Leanne Welch on February 21, 2003 in Virginia and she survives.

            He is also survived by one son, Clayton John Boehler of Clayton; one daughter, Skyelissa Nicole Boehler of Girard; two grandchildren, Laynzlei Baker and Jettsyn Boehler; one sister, Justteen (Gene) Wostenholm of Peoria; four half-sisters, Angelina Bloome of Litchfield, Jonette Boehler of Nilwood, Jessica (Jeremy) Bliss of Springfield and Janey Lutz of Girard and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, John and Cheri Boehler.

            Jim served in the United States Army in the Infantry. He was employed by the BNSF Railroad as a conductor for 17 years. He enjoyed golfing and was an avid football fan.

            The family will meet friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 at Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville with private interment at Winchester City Cemetery.
