Lucille Deming, 89, of Barry, (formerly of Quincy and Camp Point) died at 10:18 a.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 in Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Born April 8, 1928, in Quincy, Lucille was a daughter of Cluster and Erma Bunte Tournear. She married Kenneth Deming April 10, 1947. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1994.
Lucille was employed at Motorola in Quincy and retired from Moorman Manufacturing after 25 years in the cafeteria.
She was a very special lady to a lot of people. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also loved visiting the gambling boat in LaGrange, MO.
Survivors include her children, Gary Tournear, Durham, MO., Roger Deming (Mindy), Quincy, Dennis Deming (Tina), Steffenville, MO., Gerald Deming (Sheila), Camp Point, Kay Brown (Ed), Barry, and Carol Cegas (Donald), Quincy; seven sisters, Pauline Harrett (Paul), Edna Tenhouse-Flesner (Kenneth), Alice Geisler, Darlene Myers (Harry), Sandy Zimmerman (Rick), Marilyn Heins (Gene) Carolyn West (Michael); fifteen grandchildren, Mike Tournear, Dustin Tournear (Melisa), Christine Crosson (Jeremy), Jason Deming (Alicia), Melissa Skinner, Machelle Turpin (Jason), Mallory Deming, Adam Deming, Heather Fuqua (Nathan), Tollie Mohr (Johnathan), Lee Deming, Haley Hogan (Maxwell), Jenna Miller (Ryan), Jamie Blakeman (Steve), and Gretchen Messner (DW); several step grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Maurice and Lowell Tournear; and two sisters, Gladys Phillips and Erma Campbell.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, May 4 at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point by Rev. Cecilia Granadosin. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point, Illinois.
Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Lummis-Hamilton Funeral Home in Camp Point.
