Paul W. Lee, 78, of Plymouth, IL died at 11:55 am Thursday March 8, 2018 at St. Vincent’s Home in Quincy, IL
He was born on May 15, 1939 in Rockport, IL to Winfred and Martha Angle Lee. He married Anita June Waner on July 19, 1959 in Atlas, IL. She survives.
Paul retired in 2003 from the Media and Educational Technology Dept. at Western Illinois University in Macomb. He was a 1957 graduate of Barry High School and received his Bachelor Degree in Education from WIU in Macomb.
Paul was a Quarter Horse Judge for 40 years and had served as a youth baseball summer league coach. He enjoyed hunting, horse team roping, reining and speed events. He was an avid animal lover and St. Louis Cardinal Baseball fan and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by a son, Steve Lee of Springfield, IL, a daughter, Michelle Lee of Morton, IL, 5 grandchildren, Jacob Naese, Hunter, Hayden, Havannah and Halayna Lee, 1 brother, Frank (Sandy) Lee, 4 sisters, Martha Jane Rupert of Quincy, IL, Sharon (Tom) Lebig of Quincy, IL, Kathleen (Vernon) Meyers of Palmyra, MO,Rebecca (Frank) Harrold of Heyworth, IL, a sister-in-law, Beverly Lee of Edmond, OK and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, KathyLee Naese, a brother, Eldred Lee and a brother-in-law, William Rupert.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am Monday March 12, 2018 at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, IL by Connie Corder. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at the Plymouth Circle Community Center. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lamoine Saddle Club or WIU Foundation.
