Brad Erke, 64, of Camp Point, died at 9:52 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home in Camp Point.
Born April 21, 1953, in Quincy, Brad was the son of Wilfred and Dorothy Hillebrenner Erke. He married Kay Burgdorff on September 6, 1980 at Luther Memorial Church in Quincy. She survives.
Brad was a 1971 graduate of Central High School where he was active with the FFA and football program. He was a charter member of Arrowhead Heights Golf Course and was a former member and past president of the Camp Point Lions Club. Brad volunteered countless hours mowing at Bailey Park and was an avid supporter of Central Football. He was a member of the Camp Point United Methodist Church.
Brad was employed at Prairieland FS for 44 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three daughters, Trisha Erke, Camp Point, Kayla Barnes (Shaun), Quincy, and Jania Erke, Camp Point; two granddaughters, Breanna and Dakota Bowen, Camp Point; a sister in law, Cindy (Gary) Viar, Camp Point; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents; his father and mother in law, Glenn and Marilyn Burgdorff; and a niece, Michelle Viar.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 a.m. at the Camp Point United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Camp Point.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Camp Point United Methodist Church. Viewing will be held Wednesday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Camp Point United Methodist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Brad Erke Benefit or Bailey Park.
