Nancy M. Kemppainen, 65, of Plymouth, IL died at 5:30 pm Sunday November 17, 2019 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
She was born on September 28, 1954 in Keokuk, IA to Floyd and Bertha Guyman Cooper. She married Rudy Kemppainen on July 30, 1988 in Keokuk, IA. He survives.
Nancy was a graduate of Warsaw High School. She spent most of her working years as a CNA. She had a particular love for cats and played “Grandma” for cats in her later years.
Nancy also had a strong tie with the Southeastern School District, with her largest interest being in the Suns athletics, being an avid fan of all the sports.
She is survived by a brother, William “Bill” (Joyce) Cooper of Plymouth, IL, 2 nephews, James (Cheryl) Cooper of Plymouth, IL and Jonathan (Chris Goodwin) Cooper of Plymouth, IL and 5 nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday November 21, 2019 at the Plymouth Circle Community Center (former Plymouth Methodist Church) in Plymouth, IL by Rev. Tom Spain. Burial will be in Rosemont cemetery on Plymouth. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 Wednesday at the Center.
