Clarice Louise Akins, 95, of Camp Point, IL died at 1:36 am Tuesday November 24, 2020 in Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
She was born on May 25, 1925 near Plymouth, IL to Homer Henry and Myrtle Ivy Marten. She married Glade Akins on September 5, 1953 in Plymouth, IL. He preceded her in death on August 21, 2018.
Clarice worked most of her life as a CNA/ health aid in Quincy, IL. She loved her family very much and she loved going to church and she loved Jesus. She enjoyed gardening. Clarice was a very special wife, mother and grandmother and she will be missed by all.
She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Perrine of Arkansas, 4 grandchildren, Linda (Cleve) Miller of Palmyra, MO, JJ Will of Camp Point, IL, Ed (Ginny) Tjaden of St. Louis, MO and Tasha Akins of ARK. 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-granddaughter Annaleya and a great-great grandson due in December, a sister, Emajean Helton of Bettendorf, IA.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Linda, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
Private graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday November 28, 2020 at Woodlawn cemetery in Augusta, IL by Rev. Patsy Spratt and Rev. Jerry Spratt. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be made to her family,
