Donald Crooks, 62, of Palmyra, formerly of Clayton died Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
Born September 21, 1959, in Beardstown, Donnie was the son of Robert and Maxine Mae Prisner Crooks.
Donnie loved the outdoors and spent time hunting, fishing, and collecting arrowheads. He was a St. Louis Cardinal's fan and Los Angeles Rams fan. Most importantly, Donnie was a man of faith and a follower of Christ.
Survivors include four children, Renae Crooks of Alabama and her children, Ronica, Jayden, and Alizae; Courtney Reese of Bowling Green, MO., and her three children; Andrew Moorehead of Quincy; and Brandon Broeker of Quincy and his son, Franklin Courtois; three sisters, Kathy Lewis of Palmyra, MO., Dawn Berghager of Lathop, MO., and Debbie Cottrell of Monticello, MO.; three brothers, Jim Crooks of Clayton, Cameron Prisner of Nelsonville, MO., and David Prisner of Canton, MO; a niece, Melissa Murray of Center, MO.; a nephew, Kevin Lewis of Palmyra; and numerous additional nieces and nephews as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Crooks.
Mr. Crooks was cremated. A Celebration of Life dinner will be held Sunday (November 14, 2021) at 3:00 p.m. at the Plainville Town Hall in Plainville, IL.
